    Hi Elaine.
I am having trouble reading the posts following your page from 2007 regarding Pampered Chef cooking. IF you did not yet find out how to make cakes in the rice cooker, here is how: You can use any American cake mix. Mix it according to the package directions right in the Rice Cooker Plus. If you would like, you can add any prepared frosting right onto the top of the uncooked batter. Use the Pampered Chef small scoop to drop it on all around the top.
Leave the cover off and bake in your microwave for 10 – 12 minutes, depending on the power of your microwave. Mine cooks the cake perfectly in 10 minutes. Test to see that a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. The top of the cake may look a little wet. Let cake sit in the cooker for 5 more minutes. Place serving plate upside down over the open top of the cooker. Holding cooker and plate firmly together, flip over so the plate is now on the bottom. The cake will fall down onto the plate. You will find the melted frosting now on top of the cake and running down the sides. You can also frost or ice in the normal fashion without cooking the frosting with the cake.
I was wondering how many potatoes and how much water you use to cook your potatoes in 22 minutes? Are the potatoes sliced or chopped? Thanks.
    Carol
