What do you put in your sandwiches?…

So over at Dorothy’s to-day the subject is sandwiches, there is loads of ideas over there.  Blogging has been low on priority here but I did want to add my filling’s worth :-)

I’m keeping it simple  here with filling ideas……

What do you put in yours?

So I’m listing all the sandwich fillings I can think of starting from……

now.

Variation on a theme:

Ham and any of the following – cheese, tomato, coleslaw, beetroot, lettuce, chicken.

Chicken

Chicken with any of the following – cheese, coleslaw, sweet chilli, peach, grape, creamed cheese.

Egg & onion

Egg and salad cream

Now I’m getting tired and it’s getting late here…..

And so if you want to join in the easy way just leave your idea for sandwich fillers in the comments and I’ll link this whole post to Dorothy’s blog.  Be sure to drop in on her for loads of ideas from very creative ladies in the sandwich department!

The worst sandwiches EVER have to be Mars bar and apple!!! Followed closely by AFTER EIGHT sandwiches. Yes someone once made them for me, and they ended up in my handbag. (I did appreciate their hospitality though!;) )

I’m not a big sandwich fan, but I think I could be tempted by red grape and brie!

Ellen – I’m doing well thanks just been a bit lazy with the old blogging!

We like red currant jelly and grape jelly, but mostly we like jams. Seedless Raspberry is my favorite. A swipe of raspberry jam and a dusting of powdered sugar makes the best dessert crepes.

For me, personally, the tastiest sandwiches are the toasted variety….and in agreement with Daniel, one needs to use REAL butter for these!

Jelly meaning jam right? Never heard of mars bar and apple though! Egg mayo with a little bit of curry powder is yummy. Cheese and coleslaw. Cheese and humous, CHEESE AND APPLE ROCKS! Oh, and cheese and Jam……hmmmm, I believe ther is a bit of a theme here!

Hows this for bizzare snakc food- ants on a log. Celery stick peanur butter in the middle groove, raisins dotted on the peanut butter. Much tastier than you would think.
