I can tell from my stats that all 4 of you are wondering where I am.
I am so exhausted, can’t think why. I don’t remember being this tired after any of our previous guests, perhaps just another nights sleep will do the trick 
The highlights of this past week go along these lines.
After arriving safe and sound on Tuesday, Pastor Chanski’s ministry began in earnest on Wednesday night with his first of three sermons on Marriage.
The cornerstone vow: a wonderful but fearful thing.
The resolution of love: Love is not a feeling but a resolution to do something.
The place of feelings: Feelings are not the root of love but the Fruit of Love.
The nobility of fidelity: Stay the course until the job is done.

Thursday night saw the ladies under the spot-light in a sermon entitled
Things wives can practically do to love their husbands. 1 Peter 3 v 7.
1. Be convinced of your need to be pressed to love him. It’s not just the Pastors job to teach women to love their husbands but other women ought to teach them too Titus 2 v 4.
2. Embrace your priority role as a helpmeet to him.Genesis 2 v 18 ie The opposite of feminism.
3. Be grateful for him.
4. Respect him Ephesians 5 v 33
5. Labour to be an orderly homemaker for him.
6. Seek to stay lovely and attractive to him.

Friday night was the turn of the gents and their exhortation went along these lines:
Things husbands can practically do to love their wives:
1. Lead her to heaven. Eph 5 25-27
2. Protect her.
from
a Threatening Relationships
b Responsibility overload
c Embarrasment
d Insomnia.
3. Provide for her.
4. Bring up her children
5. Communicate with her.
6. Romance her.
Saturday mornings conference was centered around the theme of Womanly Dominion the subject of Pastor Chanski’s up coming book. (He has already authored Manly Dominion).
The conference was a great success and you can view photos at our church website. It was a delight to see so many visitors in our midst and meet some new friends.
All these meetings were such a blessing but I have to say probably the biggest privilege for me over the few days was the fact that Pastor Chanski honoured me by asking me to read the manuscript for his new book.
What a blessing, a first for me. I’ve never read a book that hasn’t been published before. What a God honouring book it is. May it be used by our Heavenly Father to have more and more women return to their God given role of subduing and ruling the earth as well as being a help meet.

My big boys are gone skiing so maybe I’ll check out that audio link tonight! I’ve read that Manly Dominion book a while back when I ordered it for our church library.

The meetings were very encouraging and enlightening. We certainly have gone away “with our eyes brightened” as Pastor Chanski would say.
