As the regulars know over the next few Monday’s I’m hosting a give away sponsored by the kind folks over at Mustard Seed Games. If you haven’t checked out their site be sure you do as their Christian based Games are excellent. Even if you have been there before get back over there now as they’ve up-dated their site.
You can find a list of all their products here. You can read my earlier review of their Aspects game here and my review of the Fruit of the Spirit game here.
To-day I’m reviewing their Carpenter & Wood Game.

The cards are divided into different trades and items which they require to carry out their work.
The trades included are Weaver, Trader, Sailor, Blacksmith, Shepherd, Tentmaker, Farmer, Carpenter, Stonemason, Baker, Olivegrower, Archer.
Not all jobs we can easily relate to to-day, so a great game to introduce the lifestyles of working people in Bible times.
The Weavers object cards are the loom, wool and woven cloth.
The Bakers is the bread, oven and bread carrier. etc
The games included are as follows:
Collect -a-job: Where the winner is the first to collect two complete sets of cards, the character and the 3 corresponding object cards.
Threes: Is based on the old favourite pairs but after finding the pair you also claim the relevant character card.
Explain a job: This game is helpful to have children understand the different jobs and why they were important.
Hand it over: Involves finding particular cards to complete a set.
Job Solo: Is a race against time, can you turn up complete sets before the Carpenter sets turns up!
Mime a Job: Is exactly as you would imagine
As promised Frances and Lin at Mustard Seed Games have agreed to give away another game this week and so if you would like to enter please leave a comment on this post.
(All comments on previous posts will not be counted for this drawing).
Check out the range of products at Mustard Seed Games and come back here to let me know which one you would prefer if you were to win.
To have a second entry, mention my give away on your blog and leave me another comment with your URL to your post.
I’ll draw a winner on Saturday morning.
Go Comment….
Then go check out the BBB of o8.

Hi, i posted this on my blog at : http://ladysown.blogspot.com/2008/02/contest-entry.html
If I were to win a game of my choosing it would either be ASPECTS or the Carpenter and Wood game. Both sound like good products, well actually they all do, but these appeal to me most.

I like the way all of the board games have a separate theme! I like them all. I would most likely choose “Aspects” first. Thanks very much…..Cindi
