Entertaining the kids….

wfmwheader_161.jpgIt’s Wednesday again and it doesn’t seem like 2 weeks since Works-for-me-Wednesday, Shannon took a break last week to celebrate 4th July.

My tip to-day is simple. It has rained here every day since school got out (it’s looking good for to-day though). I hear you say “Oh no the kids cooped up in the house with nothing to do” – not in the Mac household. We bought this last week. I have hardly saw the kids since ;-)

p7070005.jpg A tent is an ideal play area for the kids and it gives us parents a real good chance to get the house tidied up or just to have a little space to ourselves.

Admittedly ours is quite a big tent as we hope to have a family holiday in it this year but small tents are just as good and don’t have to be expensive if you purchase here.

Rain, hail or shine the kiddymacs are determined to get their money’s worth out of this one.

Head over to Shannon’s for more tips.

Yay! We discovered the tent phenomenon quite by accident ourselves last summer. Our kids pretend it’s a spaceship and “fly” it all over, getting out to collect “plant specimens” (weeds!!) from the other planets they visit! (My hubby brilliantly invented that activity.) So this one Works for Me, too. :)

What a great idea! I have a tent in a box in my garage. Kids love spaces of their own.

Did you buy it big because you are having a holiday or because you are having more kids?
