These books are both prizes the kiddymacs received during our recent prize night at church.
The first is called The Evergreen Wood and is an adaptation of The Pilgrim’s Progress for younger children. The story follows Christopher Mouse on his way to The Evergreen Wood. He has to draw on reserves of courage he didn’t know he had and meets unexpected friends, whose advice, generosity, and sacrifice help him on his way. This book is a great tool for the parents who are keen to introduce their children to The Pilgrim’s Progress.
The second book is called Tell me the Promises by Joni Eareckson Tada and Ron
DiCianni. This book encourages parents to make promises to their children like, promises to always love, protect and pray for them. It also impresses upon them the value of a covenant. This is one of those books that is kept for posterity on the top shelf to keep in the best condition for use with future generations. Well that’s the intention
Ideal gifts.
